According
to the Canadian Diabetes Association, it is estimated approximately
80% of people with Diabetes will die as a result of heart disease
or stroke. Coronary artery disease is the most common form of heart
disease in diabetes. It develops when the arteries that supply the
heart with blood become narrowed or blocked by fatty deposits. This
process is often called "hardening of the arteries." If
the arteries that supply the brain are affected, the result can
be a stroke. |

Currently,
Diabetes is a contributing factor in the deaths of approximately
41,500 Canadians each year. The Canadian Diabetes Association estimates
246 million people worldwide which are affected by Diabetes. With
a further 7 million people developing diabetes each year, that number
is expected to hit 380 million by 2025. |

Takacs says "I have a serious case of diabetes with attacked
my vessels. My hands and feet were pale and cold, at night my feet
would torture me and keep me up. I would suffer if I even so much
as touched my feet. I was extremely upset, as I know what this would
lead to. After taking my friends advice I went to the Sonotherapy
Center, and what a good choice this was! My ability to walk is much
better, and I'm able to sleep at night without pain. My hands and
feet aren't as pale and feel much warmer, touching them is no longer
painful. After my successful treatments, I can't keep myself from
recommending Sonotherapy to anyone who needs it." |
